About Me and the Training School
I have been qualified in beauty therapy since 1996. I studied at Gt. Yarmouth College, where I grew up and had many fun years there. I got my first beauty job in a salon in Norwich City Centre. Then I got my itchy feet and spent my 21st birthday working on board the QE2 as a beauty therapist, sailing into New York. I learnt a lot about how to sell, and how to seriously raise my game. Americans are very happy to tell you if they aren't happy with something. I love that way. You know where you stand.
After 3 years of avoiding land, I came back home to Gt. Yarmouth and set up my own salon. I had that for 10 wonderful years. It was during this time that I added teaching as another string to my bow. I worked at Norwich City F.E. for a short while and really didn't enjoy working towards funding goals and targets instead of caring about the students and their needs, so became privately accredited and have kept that up since then. I gave it up the salon to become a Mum to my gorgeous baby boy. He is 6 now, so I have thrown myself back into teaching and I'm building up a small set of clients again.
I have taught the shorter courses but didn't get fulfillment out of it. I love seeing the students bloom and grow, as their skills develop. I also LOVE teaching branding and marketing and how to create an online presence. When teaching short courses, these little extras have to missed off because there just isn't the time.
Make your course count.
Learn more and achieve more.
My aim is to stand out from an overcrowded place of short courses and allow my students to become more.
Are you ready?
